In this lesson you will review each components of the School Progress section when reviewing data and projections.
1. School Progress Overview
- A donut chart provides the overall domain rating for Districts. For campuses or selected school sites, a Met Standard or Improvement Required will display.
- Calculation tab offers more information about the breakdown of the overall rating and score.
- Methodology tab provides more information about the particular methods of retrieving such data.
- The Component Scores of Domain 2 bar chart offers two views into the overall projection results within this domain.
- Scaled Scores will show the scaled values of each component.
- Raw Scores will show the raw scores of each component.
2. Academic Growth Component Score (Domain 2A)
Academic Growth Component Score scorecard is based on answering the question, Are Students Improving in Reading and Math from year to year?
- The donut chart provides a quick view of the percentage of students that meet the above criteria.
- Click to view Score Computation to review a pivot table to compare past year's performance with current performance.
- Progress Points Earned out of the Total Possible Progress Points creates an Academic Growth Component Raw and Scale Score.
3. Relative Performance Component Score (Domain 2B)
Relative Performance Component Score scorecard is based on answering the question, Are Students Progressing Relative to Students in Districts or Campuses with Similar Economically Disadvantaged Percentages?
