If your District is using LockDown Browser with Chrome Kiosk, there is a new Respondus App version that has been released. If you are a District using LockDown Browser with Chrome Kiosk, please share the detailed instructions with your IT Department. The request for this update is for August, 2023.
The new Respondus App update that has been released for Chrome Kiosk users will allow Districts to set the URL for students to go directly to the correct district, bypassing the District dropdown and selection options. This change increases the secure use by students to navigate directly to their appropriate District.
In order to update the Respondus App, please follow these steps:
How to update the Respondus Kiosk Mode
- Login to the Google Suite admin console at https://admin.google.com
- Select “Devices” and then select “Chrome”.
- Then select “Apps & extensions” and select the Kiosks.
- See the SchoolCity application installed and click that to update the URL, “Policy for extensions”

- Select Save.
