SchoolCity Scan is a Windows-based Java application, which eliminates potential browser compatibility issues. Some of the features of the SchoolCity Scan app include, bulk scanning (scan bubble sheets for different assessments within one scanning batch), student search, manual input screen (if for any reason the paper version was not properly read by the scanner) and PDF scanning.
After installing SchoolCity Scan, student answer sheets can be scored using a compatible, TWAIN-compliant scanner. This article will step through the process of scanning answer sheets for a PLC assessment.
- Similar to the Manage Assessments screen in SchoolCity, a PLC dropdown menu specific to PLC displays when the PLC tab is selected.
- Users can search for PLC assessments directly under the PLC tab in SchoolCity Scan once the assessment has been Published and the assessment window is open.
Please keep in mind that this tab displays only when a user has access to scan PLC assessments.
- Once the PLC tab is clicked, a new filter option will appears in the blue filter bar labeled "PLC". This filter bar dropdown will display PLC groups that the user is a part of. The dropdown is single-select.
- Once users make a selection, the assessments associated with the PLC(s) that are eligible for scanning will appear.
The name of the "PLC" filter may vary depending on the name your district has determined to use for the concept of staff group collaboration in SchoolCity.
