This lesson guides users through sharing an assessment to Google Classroom for administration. When the assessment is activated, students will be able to take the SchoolCity assessment without logging directly into the SchoolCity Student Portal, and instead take it via Google Classroom. Assessments types that can be shared to Google Classroom include AKO, Express, and Item Bank, as well as pre-made assessments such as Inspect and EngageNY.
Where to Start
- From the Grid, select Assessments to access Manage Assessments.
Manage Assessments
- Find the assessment to send to Google Classroom, and select the Google Classroom Icon under Functions.
Performance Based, Imported, and Multi-grade assessments cannot be shared to Google Classroom.
Share with Google
- A modal opens. Select Sign in with Google.
- Select the Google account linked to your Google Classroom account.
- Select + Add to Class for next to the name of the class to share the assessment with.
- Select to + Add Assessment to Another Class if the assessment will be given to multiple classes.
- Select Open GC Assignment to view the assessment within Google Classroom.

The assignment opens for the selected class. Select the assignment link to access the Teacher Control Panel.
The Teacher Control Panel provides access to features from SchoolCity, such as Setup, Online Admin, Online Scoring, Predefined Reports, and more.
