This lesson explores the TXPRO Campus Comparison tab. This page provides visual reports of the organization's overall scores, with the options to view data in a bar chart with drill-down capabilities, or as a table with broken out scores.
Before You Begin
Required Permission: TXPRO Role Permissions
This lesson begins assuming users have role permissions to access TXPRO, and have already logged in. For help with TXPRO permissions, visit Enable TXPRO Role Permissions. For help with logging in, visit TXPRO Login.
Where to Start
- Select the Campus Comparison tab.
- Select the desired District/Campus and Accountability Year to view the Campus Comparison reports for.
The District/Campus and Accountability Year options can be changed at any time while viewing the Campus Comparison page to compare and contrast data from different sites and academic years.
Chart View
- The Campus Comparison report defaults to the Chart View.
- Use the Campus filter dropdown to select campuses to include in the visualized data.
- This filter displays the sites that the user has data permissions to view, including the district site (all campuses), if applicable.
- Use the Campus Type filter dropdown to select specific campus types to filter to.
- Campus Type filters include Elementary, Elementary/Secondary, High School, and Middle School.
- Use the Overall Rating filter dropdown to filter the visualized data to specified overall ratings, including campuses that are Not Rated.
- Select the sorting icon to sort the data in the bar chart from the lowest to the highest scores, and select the icon again to sort the data from the highest to lowest scores.
- The Overall Scores of Campuses bar chart displays data according to the filters selected, with a color-coded bar for each campus displayed, according to the overall score of the campus.
- The District's Overall Score displays as a dashed line across the chart to provide a point of comparison for each campus.
- Slide the horizontal scroll bar to view further campus data.
- The chart updates dynamically as filters are added and removed.
- Hover over a bar within the chart to view a preview of the data breakdown, including the overall score, and the score for each domain. Select the bar to open a bar chart visual of that campus' data breakdown.
- After selecting the data bar of a specific campus, a pop-out bar chart breakdown of that campus' domain data appears. The campus name, Overall Score, and Rating Label display at the top.
- Hover over a domain data bar within the chart to view the numeric domain score, rating, and point comparison to the district score for that domain.
- Select Back to Overall Scores to return to the Overall Scores of Campuses chart.
Table View
- Select the Table View icon to view the data in a table, rather than a bar chart.
- Use the Campus filter dropdown to select campuses to include in the visualized data.
- This filter displays the sites that the user has data permissions to view, including the district site (all campuses), if applicable.
- Use the Campus Type filter dropdown to select specific campus types to filter to.
- Campus Type filters include Elementary, Elementary/Secondary, High School, and Middle School.
- Use the Overall Rating filter dropdown to filter the visualized data to specified overall ratings, including campuses that are Not Rated.
- Select the Downloads icon to download the current data table visualization, and the Table Settings icon to show or hide columns.
- View the sections below to learn more about these features.
- The Overall Scores of Campuses table displays data according to the filters selected, with the Campus Name, State ID, and data columns for each data point selected to show in the Table Settings menu.
- Ratings are displayed in color-coded bubbles.
- While hovering over different data points within the table, the underlying column and row are highlighted to enhance visibility.
- Slide the horizontal scroll bar to view further data.
- The chart updates dynamically as filters are added and removed.
The Downloads menu allows users to export the data currently displayed in the Overall Scores of Campuses table. These exports take into account the filters that are currently applied, as well as the Table Settings. Available download file formats include CSV, Excel, and PDF.
The Table Settings menu allows users to select data columns to show or hide within the Overall Scores of Campuses table. The Overall and Domain-wise Overall Scores and Overall and Domain-wise Ratings are all automatically selected. The Components Scores are automatically deselected. Any column can be selected to show or hide that data within the table.
