This lesson reviews the Permissions tab under the Settings menu on the TXPRO app. Admin users with the appropriate role permissions can use the Permissions page to manage what users can view TXPRO data for the current and previous academic years.
Before You Begin
Required Permissions: Admin Role, TXPRO Data Upload permission or higher
This lesson begins assuming users have SchoolCity role permissions to access TXPRO, and have already logged in. For help with TXPRO permissions, visit Enable TXPRO Role Permissions. For help with logging in, visit TXPRO Login.
Where to Start
- Select the Settings gear icon.
Permissions
- Select the Permissions tab.
- Select the year to change data visibility permissions for.
- Each year will display what users currently have visibility permissions set.
- Select the checkboxes to enable or disable data visibility for District and School Users for the selected year.
The Data Visibility Permissions are useful for controlling access to the data within the TXPRO app, particularly for prior academic years. This feature allows District and School Users to continue to access the TXPRO app and its data for the current academic year, for example, but can restrict access to prior years' data to limit unnecessary access to Personal Identifiable Information.
- Select the Permissions History clock icon to view a log of the changes that have been made to the data visibility permissions. This log lists the change that was made, and the date and time it was made. Select the X to close the Permissions History popup window.
- Select Save.
Removing Data Visibility permissions will not affect the TXPRO user role permissions assigned through SchoolCity. Users with the appropriate TXPRO user role permissions will still be able to see and access the TXPRO app from SchoolCity; however, if the user's Data Visibility permission has been removed, they will see that no data is available to view within TXPRO.
