The Student Portal is the User Interface used by students to take online assessments. There are a variety of tools that may be available for an assessment. Available tools are determined by the Test Administrator and/or the Test Creator.
There are four levels of editors: Elementary, Algebra, Algebra with Trigonometry, and Advanced, one of which will be enabled for the assessment. The General Symbols are available for all Equation Editors.
- Select the desired Symbol Category from the dropdown to view and access different sets of symbols. The categories available are dependent on the level of equation editor enabled for the test. Available categories can include:
- General Symbols
- Special Characters, Numbers and Variables
- Additional Symbols, Brackets, Standards Binary Symbols
- Brackets, Geometry
- Arrows, Geometry
- Trigonometry, Logarithmic Functions, Calculus
- Set Theory, Product and Summation Operators, Matrices
- Greek Letters and Numbers
- Advanced AMS Binary Symbols, AMS Binary Symbols Negated
- Full Alphabet (Roman)
- Use the Search Symbols bar to search a symbol by name.
- View the symbol menu to search for and select symbols from the currently selected Symbol Category.
- Selected symbols and numbers typed on the keyboard appear in the equation field.
- Select Add Equation to enter the equation within the field to the test.
